I’ve had the idea of making a brand book for myself ever since I studied a few in college for an assignment. I wanted every element of my personal brand—from my color scheme’s HEX/RGB values to the details of my website’s WordPress theme—laid out in one place. It turned out to be a more complicated project than I’d expected. Some drafts had 40+ pages because, despite lots of planning, I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to put in the book. I temporarily shelved the project out of frustration.
When I started working on the book again, everything fell into place on its own. In the years that I had spent away from the book, I had actually built my brand instead of just imagining it. Thus, I had a crystal clear picture of what should go into the book. The first version was a 14-page book, which I put together in Microsoft PowerPoint. You can still find a PDF of it below.
For my second version, I created a 12-page book with Canva. The content didn’t change much. It contains most of the same information from the first version, only updated for 2024. It uses the “Beige Pastel Minimalist Thesis Defense Presentation” theme by Colllab Supply, which I modified to fit my color scheme.
